EXT. HIGHWAY HAMILTON - EARLY MORNING

      Rides past Hamilton city sign.

Rides around slowly, takes in familiar sights, rides by the
Stokers' Furnace, slows down, looks it over, rides on.

Sees flyer on hydro pole, near Stokers', pulls up. A flyer
      for Boston's show.

He rides on, enters parking lot, old familiar motel, parks
his bike, grabs stuff from the panniers, enters motel.

INT. STOKERS' BACK ROOM - NIGHT

Boston enters, carrying guitar case. Curtis follows, cell
camera in hand, shooting. Both on way to stage, house lights
are up, house music playing, young crowd, few more entering.
      Boston whispers to Curtis.

                          BOSTON
                     (Angrily)
Stop with the friggin' camera! You're
                really pissing me off!

Reluctantly, Curtis stops, puts cell in pocket.

                                                     CUT TO STAGE:

Curtis checks out mic and amp. Boston takes out guitar, tunes
it. Curtis sees Allie and Grace at table, drinking.

                          CURTIS
                Look who's here.

      Boston, looks around.

                          CURTIS (CONT'D)
                Second table along the wall.

                          BOSTON
                Cool!

      Boston's excited. Curtis unimpressed.

                          CURTIS
Looks like it's your lucky night.

      Curtis, jealous.

                          CURTIS (CONT'D)
                     (to Boston)
The mic's good. See ya' later.

Curtis heads to bar, Boston distracted by Allie.

                          BOSTON
                Yeah. Later.

                                                       CUT TO BAR:

Curtis sits at end of bar, orders a beer.

P.O.V. Curtis: Watches Boston approach Allie's table, they
talk, Allie invites him to sit, he talks to Grace, Boston
appears nervous. Curtis is growing upset.

                                                     CUT TO TABLE:

                          BOSTON
                     (awkwardly)
                I'm glad you came.

      Allie smiles.

                          ALLIE
You owe me a song. I couldn't miss
                that.

                          BOSTON
                Yeah! Hope you like it!

                          GRACE
                I'm sure we will.

      Allie nods. Long silence.

                          ALLIE
So, do you play here regularly?

                          BOSTON
Whenever, mostly on a Friday. The
owner of the bar helps. Gives me the
run of place, after hours, to
                practice.

                          ALLIE
So, singing here is all you do?

                          BOSTON
                This, street performing, odd jobs
                around the bar.

                          ALLIE
                That's it?

                          BOSTON
                     (Defensively)
Yeah. Ed Sheeran was a street
performer. Check out You Tube. Look
                at him now.
                     (Beat)
                And you?

                          ALLIE
A Graphic Designer... I do ads for
                people.

                          GRACE
She's too modest. She freelances for
                some really big clients.

Boston, at a loss for words. Allie jumps in.

                          ALLIE
                It's just a job, really.
                     (Beat)
                So, when do you start?

      Boston looks around, counts bodies.

                          BOSTON
                Looks like soon.
                     (Beat)
Can I get you another drink?

      Both shake their heads no.

                          ALLIE
                Maybe later?

                          BOSTON
                OK.
                     (Beat)
Well, I'd better get things moving.
                     (Nervously)
                See you after the set?

Allie smiles, Boston exits to bar.

                          GRACE
So fuckable. If you don't want him,
                I'll take him!

      She smiles.

      EXT. MOTEL HAMILTON - NIGHT

Charlie exits his Motel room, starts up his motorcycle and
      drives off.

INT. STOKERS' BACK ROOM - NIGHT

The crowd has grown, Boston beside Curtis at bar.

                          BOSTON
So, I haven't screwed it up yet.

Curtis forced smile, jealous. Boston is oblivious.

The bar owner/bartender approaches. Jake, 65, 5'7" thin,
somewhat wirely, grey hair, grumpy looking and a man of few
words. He slides a beer to Boston.

                          BOSTON
                Thanks Jake.
                     (To Jake)
                Hey, going on in two.

Jake nods. Boston taps Curtis' beer bottle with his.

                          BOSTON (CONT'D)
                Salut!

They drink. Boston heads for stage.

P.O.V. Curtis: He watches Boston flirt with Allie from stage.

The lights dim, house music fades, spot light on Boston,
begins to sing, TBD, written by Dan atStarLite

CLOSE UP on Allie: She's impressed.

      Curtis finishes beer, exits upset.

      CLOSE UP on Boston: Singing.

EXT. STOKERS' PARKING LOT - LATER

Charlie pulls in, shuts down bike, removes helmet, sits
motionless, hesitant. Suddenly off the bike, stows his stuff,
      heads for Stokers' front door.
