Road trip to Oregon
One weekend my husband & I decided to take a spontaneous trip to Portland, Oregon. It was about a 12 hour drive to Portland from where we live. I wanted to check out Oneonta Gorge, this beautiful ravine near the boarder of Washington. The forests were filled with so much green, it was enchanting. We parked along the side of the Historic Columbia River Hwy we were pretty far from the trail entrance, it was really crowded by the time we arrived.
On our way to the trail we saw this beautiful waterfall called Horsetail Falls. They have picnic tables on the side to sit and enjoy its beauty.
We walked up the trail for about a mile and got to this cliff. It had a beautiful view looking out to the Columbia River. On the other side of the river is Washington.
Hubby enjoying the magnificent view.
This cute little tree stump looks like a cozy house.
As we continued the trail we found this amazing paradise, Ponytail Falls flows right in the center into a pool of refreshing water. The trail continues into this somewhat tunnel that is under this ginormous rock. Video link for better view. https://www.instagram.com/p/BVlJ5PahmZh/
I came to this gorgeous wall covered in moss and other plants, and all along the wall water drippes down from the very top.
This small waterfall is the Lower Oneonta Falls. As you walk along the bridge it's on the left side.
Like the way this tree looked, also Slender Man at the bottom of the picture D:
This was a pond outside of the Radisson Hotel we were staying at.
