You're already dead.

This is a line from a comic strip, and in life we are less likely to use such an expression directly, whether or not we shy away from the topic of death. But if we think about some of the facts about death, then we can say that I'm going to die, and that's something that's already happened. Until there is a breakthrough in technology that creates a proven range of cryonics/cloning vectors/digital life that allows for a limited evolutionary breakthrough in human life, I will die is something that has already been established as an inevitable event. We can plan our lives based on this fact, and we must think about the meaning of our birthright based on this fact.

Then, in the last sentence of the movie, Oppenheimer's line, which made both him and Einstein look dumbfounded, I believe we did, says exactly that: what we have done has made the extinction of the human race a thing that has already happened.
Mankind, through the weaponization of atomic energy, has the power to literally wipe its own species out of the universe. The death of mankind has been carefully mapped out somewhere in the future, whether distant or not.
So, is this incident Oppenheimer's fault? Was it the fault of Oppenheimer's scientific explorations, the Fifth Solvay Conference, the star-studded gathering of an entire generation of master physicists, all of whom worked together to produce the invention of the bomb, from their discovery that nuclear fission could produce a tremendous amount of energy to their calculations and efforts to catalyze the chain reaction?
Shouldn't Oppenheimer have done it? If there had been no bomb, the Soviet Union would not have gone to war, and Japan would not have surrendered unconditionally, or if Oppenheimer and Heisenberg had succeeded in the scientists' tacit agreement to delay the development of the bomb, not to mention the fact that the Axis would have been defeated in World War II, but Oppenheimer himself would have been subjected to an even more disastrous counterattack during t
