Steemit Open Mic Week 77 - To The Farthest Shore (original song)
Ahoy Steemians! Another week, another open mic session.
I will play you my whole album "Across Open Seas" song by song. I already started with "Homeward" and "Running Against The Wind", so here is another track. This one is called "To The Farthest Shore" and was inspired by a novel by Ursula K. LeGuin. After weeks and weeks sailing the open sea and running against the wind, there is finally land in sight for our crew!
To The Farthest Shore
Here I go again
On the way to make my final stand
Set sail for the Promised Land
To the farthest shore where we shall land
Hey ho, hey ho
Here it all begins
Hey ho, hey ho
God knows where it ends
Weeks and weeks pass by
Not a single sign of life
Move to the ocean’s tide
Listen to the waves and hear them rhyme
Hey ho, hey ho
Here it all begins
Hey ho, hey ho
God knows where it ends
To the farthest shore
We sail...
Thought I was going blind
When there came the call "There’s land in sight"
Passengers of all four winds
Here our journey ends another tale begins
Hey ho, hey ho
Here it all begins
Hey ho, hey ho
God knows where it ends
To the farthest shore
We sail...
I like your song.
Excellent composition and performance, brother! Nice, man!
