Hey guys!!!

This time I have come to present you with a Venezuelan song born from the history of our Independence.
"El Negro", "Pedro Camejo" or "Negro Primero" was the first officer of the General Páez Guerrilla in Venezuela's war of independence. He earned the nickname of "Negro Primero" because he was always in the lead, even ahead of General Páez "El Catire", between the two they won several battles, among them "Queseras del Medio" and Carabobo's, where this legend was born. "El Negro", mortally wounded, retreated in the battle and was found by General Páez "El Catire" and asked:

• "What's wrong with you, dammit? Are you afraid now?"
  To which "El Negro" answered by burying his spear on the ground:
• "No, my General, I'm not afraid, I came to say goodbye because I'm dead"

En esta oportunidad vengo a presentarles una canción venezolana nacida de la historia de nuestra Independencia.
“El Negro”, “Pedro Camejo” o “Negro Primero” fue el primer oficial de la Guerrilla de General Páez en la guerra de independencia de Venezuela. Se gano el apodo de “Negro Primero” porque siempre iba en la delantera, incluso se le adelantaba al General Páez “El Catire”, entre los dos ganaron varias batallas, entre ellas la de “Queseras del Medio”y la de Carabobo, de donde nació esta leyenda. “El Negro” herido de muerte retrocedió en la batalla y se lo encontró el General Páez “EL Catire” y le preguntó:

• "¿Qué te pasa negro carajo? ¿Es que ahora tienes miedo?"
  A lo que “El Negro” contesto enterrando su lanza en tierra:
• "No, mi General, que yo no tengo miedo, vine a decirle adiós porque estoy muerto"
