Coplas a la Polaca
Saludos a los steemians que siguen este maravilloso concurso todas las semanas constantemente. Desde la primera vez que participé hace varios meses, no he podido volver por asuntos de trabajo, pero aquí me tienen de vuelta, con otra propuesta para el cuatro venezolano.
En esta ocasión les traigo un tema romántico cuyo género partió de la vertiente de la música venezolana urbana, la Onda Nueva. Este tema se llama Coplas a la Polaca, y pertenece al maestro Aldemaro Romero (quién junto con su baterista El pavo Frank Hernández creó el género Onda Nueva), y con su letra cuenta las ganas de ser tener un noviazgo con una polaca que lo vuelve loco.
Este tema fue grabado en varios álbumes musicales con su trío, sus coristas y la orquesta completa, entre los cuales está el álbum Aldemaro Romero and His Onda Nueva, grabado en los estudios de la CBS Columbia de Estados Unidos en 1972, y lo particular que tiene este álbum, es que sus temas fueron grabados en inglés para sacarlo al mercado anglosajón, y continuar haciendo el trabajo de promoción de la Onda Nueva por el mundo.
Y algunos temas cambian mucho su sentido original en español, al punto de tener un título diferente al original en español (me imagino que esto fue para tratarlos con un lenguaje más general). Por ejemplo este tema de Coplas a la Polaca aparece en este álbum como Venezuela, así como otros temas emblemáticos del género como Quinta Anauco, que en el álbum tiene el nombre de It Never Ends.
Como muchos de ustedes ya saben, soy cuatrista, y por ende hice un cover para el cuatro venezolano con este tema, el cual espero les guste a todos ustedes.

Greetings to the steemians who follow this wonderful contest every week constantly. Since the first time I participated several months ago, I have not been able to return due to work issues, but I have returned to the contest, with another proposal for the Venezuelan cuatro.
On this occasion I bring you a romantic theme whose genre started from the side of Venezuelan urban music, the Onda Nueva. This song is called Coplas a la Polaca, and belongs to the maestro Aldemaro Romero (who along with his drummer El pavo Frank Hernández created the genre Onda Nueva), and with his lyrics tells the desire to be a girlfriend with a Pole who does it be crazy.
This song was recorded in several musical albums with his trio, his choristers and the full orchestra, among which is the album Aldemaro Romero and His Onda Nueva, recorded at the CBS Columbia studios in the United States in 1972, and the particular has this album, is that his songs were recorded in English to get him to the Anglo-Saxon market, and continue doing the work of promoting the New Wave around the world.
And some songs change their original sense in Spanish, to the point of having a different title to the original in Spanish (I imagine that this was to be treated with a more general language). For example, this song from Coplas a la Polaca appears on this album as Venezuela, as well as other emblematic themes of the genre such as Quinta Anauco, which in the album has the name of It Never Ends.
As many of you already know, I am a cuatrista, and therefore I did a cover for the Venezuelan cuatro with this theme, which I hope all of you like.
