Open Mic week 83: “Bravade” from “Der Fluyten Lust-hof”
Felt like a little change of pace, so here’s a fun piece from the “Der Fluyten Lust-hof” suite of pieces by composer Jacob van Eyck.
Van Eyck (1590-1657) was a blind Dutch expert in bell casting, who also happened to be a virtuosic recorder player and composer. His “Der Fluyten Lust-hof” suite is a massive collection of 140 themes with variations, written for solo soprano recorder.
Enjoy! 🙃
Thanks for sharing the performance and best of luck for the competition!
