Steemit openmic week 83: Acoustic cover of Johnny Drille's "wait for me" by dominiqueguitars

After being away for so long, I'm gradually finding my feet and returning to the Steemit openmic. It was so interesting today putting this together, with my pal "Mr Milez". Every step was so interestingly beautiful. The song is titled "wait for me" and since it was originally done by a Nigerian art (Johnny Drille), there's a little of our "pigin" English somewhere in the song and if you've ever liked the Nigerian pigin English and how it's spoken, I guess here's an opportunity to get a little acquainted, don't you think?!
I won't forget to thank @luzcypher and @pfunk for sustaining this contest.. You guys are the best.

The beauty of a cover is when you can own the song, you made it yours man. I'm a huge fan of Johnny and that just won you a resteem. Great one there.

Waking up to a comment such as this brings me great joy... You know I was a little skeptical bout doing a naija jam, I kept quizzing me, "are u sure they would understand what you saying in the video,especially the part where pigin was used in d song"... It's such a relief that you guys do understand.
