STEEMIT OPEN MIC WEEK 94 - YOUR NAME (ORIGINAL SONG BY STEPHEN MARTIN & DUSTIN TAYLOR)

My friend Dustin Taylor and I wrote this song while we were in high school. At the time we were both into alternative music, and I believe Nirvana's acoustic set with MTV Unplugged influenced the writing of this song tremendously. I was also writing about my stepfather in the song, and have been doing a lot of poetry about the time he was in my life, so I thought it'd be a good week to drop this song. I hope you enjoy it.
