OpenBazaar 2.0 Beta is Open
It has been a long time coming, a public beta for OpenBazaar 2.0 is here, you can download and try now, remember this is not "testnet coins" or any other tom foolery, real Bitcoin is being used as transactions, TOR integration is here, now to just get that Steem / SBD integration (which is coming!).
OB1 dev @drwasho left a comment on reddit that gave a good rundown of the top features of this release:
Offline stores. Your store data is distributed on the network. You can turn off the app and other users can still view your listings.
Offline orders. Users can place orders for your listings even if you're offline; funds can be sweeped back if a vendor is not responsive.
Item and shipping options. Add item options and variants, and shipping options for countries or groups of countries.
Third party search. Connect to a variety of third party search engines, some of which work over Tor. This is open, so you can make your own and other users can connect to it.
Tor. can run your node exclusively on Tor or in dual-stack mode (ie nodes on and off Tor).
Bitcoin w/ segwit. Transactions are done using segwit, simple as that.

I love the idea and had the first version when it came out, would love a URL version and be able to upload and post products like ebay. This whole TOR thing and all the code makes me nervous.
A question came up a month ago or so that you'd probably enjoy seeing the answers to, as there should be no reason to be nervous unless you are selling something illegal. If you do give the Beta a look see, you will be able to transfer over to the main 2.0 release instantly when that is out.
I am hoping more Steemit artists catch on when Steem and SBD are integrated directly to be able to use to buy things, I think the ability to have the marketplace be uncensored will appeal to a lot of users here like Dtube and Dsound (with OpenBazaar 2.0 also using IPFS).

I hope to see your store on there. I am long time Etsy seller and was in the Dogecoin community years ago where Crypto Collectibles came from, lasted through the terrible "Moolah" fiasco and found a home with OpenBazaar and Etsy.
Etsy has it's benefits, without knowing the level of sales from you, I know that you deal with "fees" like I do on some level. To eliminate that so I could just do business directly with people instead of on a third party website controlled by a stranger, that would be amazing. The pluses of anyone can sell anything they want, like literally anything is amazingly promising.

Thanks to @the-bitcoin-dood who Tweeted about the TOR video earlier yesterday.
I have so many product I am waiting for one of the devs to finish up a transfer tool for a 1.0 store to 2.0, at the least everyone who is using this 2.0 beta right off the bat will be able to transfer as soon as the full release is out.
