1. Angelique Kerber
Angelique Kerber is a German professional tennis player and 2 times grand-slam winner.
She was world number 1 for 34 weeks starting with September 2016.
Including the 2 grand-slams(Australian Open and US Open in 2016 and she was runner up in Wimbledon 2016), she has won a total of 11 WTA singles titles along with winning a silver medal in 2016 Rio Olympics.
She was WTA Player of the Year in 2016 along with winning "German Sportswoman of the year" and "US Open Sportsmanship Award" winner in the same year.
2. Simon Peyton Jones
Simon Peyton Jones is a British computer scientist who works as a researcher on implementation and applications of functional programming languages being used used in computers.
He works as honorary professor at Glasgow University and also supervision of PhD students of Cambridge University.
He started his career as a Software Engineer but left that after 2 years to work as a lecturer at University College of London and then professor at Glasgow University till 1998.
After that, he is working in his current role of researcher.
His major works as a designer include design of Haskell Programming Language and the compiler Glasgow Haskell Compiler.
He has been elected as Fellow of Royal Society of London in 2016 and is also an Fellow of the Association for Computing Machinery.
He is also an honorary doctorate holder from Glasgow University.
3. Mark Rylance
Mark Rylance is an British actor, playwright and theatre director who is an Academy and BAFTA Award winner.
His notable movies include Bridge of Spies(an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor and BAFTA award winner for this), Angels and Insects, Intimacy, The BFG, Dunkirk to name a few.
He also acted in some notable theoretical performances in Much Ado About Nothing, Jerusalem winning Olivier Award for both as Best Actor.
He is also a 3 time Tony Awards for Best Actor winner for his broadway appearances.
He was named among the "100 Most Influential People in the World" published by Time in 2016.
He is honoured with Knight Bachelor in the 2017 New Year Honours for his service to theatre.
4. Francys Arsentiev
Francys Arsentiev was an American mountain climber who is regarded as the first American woman to climb Mount Everest without the help of bottled oxygen.
But it was so unfortunate that while descending from the top, because of no oxygen and also because of the frostbite, she died though some climbers from Uzbekistan tried to help her.
She and her husband Sergei Arsentiev climbed most of the Russian peaks and it was their dream to climb Mount Everest, which they made it but both died while descending.
5. Yoichiro Nambu
Yoichiro Nambu was a Japanese-American physicist and professor at University of Chicago and was known for his works on theoretical physics especially atomic physics.
He was awarded with half of Nobel Prize for Physics in 1960 for his research on spontaneous broken symmetry(a spontaneous process of symmetry breaking, by which a physical system in a symmetric state ends up in an asymmetric state), the other half of Nobel Prize was shared by 2 other researchers.
He was also a recipient of Dannie Heineman Prize, Order of Culture(from Japan Government), Max Planck Medal and Benjamin Franklin Medal.
