1. Shmuel Yosef Agnon

Shmuel Yosef Agnon was an Polan/Ukraine born writer who is considered to be a main link on the modern Hebrew fiction.

His works mainly depicts about the conflict of Jewish life with modern world.

Some of his works include The Bridal Canopy, A Simple Story, Shira, To This Day, In the Heart of the Seas.

He along with Nelly Sachs were honoured with Nobel Prize in Literature in 1966.

2. Angela Merkel

Angela Merkel is a German politician and current Chancellor of Germany serving in that post since 2005.

She is regarded as the most powerful women in the world and is also considered to be the leader of European Union.

She is the first female Chancellor of Germany and is serving the fourth term since she was selected in 2005.

She is know for her roles in Treaty of Lisbon and Berlin Declaration.

She has been honoured with Grand Cross of the Order of Merit of the Federal Republic of Germany and has received many international awards from other countries.

3. Gordon Gould

Gordon Gould was an American physicist who is known to be the authentic inventor of laser.

It's notable that he has to fight for almost 38 years to get the patent on laser and his other inventions.

He was elected to National Inventors Hall of Fame in 1991 for his contributions to invention of laser and it's related technologies although there were disputes on his inventions.

4. Jay Barrs

Jay Barrs is an American archer who is a winner of a gold medal in archery in 1988 Seoul Olympics in individual category.

He also won a bronze medal in same Olympics and another bronze in 1999 Riom world championships.

His other achievements include a gold and 2 silver medals in Pan American Games in 1987 and 1991 games.

He holds the record for being 14 time US field champion in archery.

5. Carlos Alberto Torres

Carlos Alberto Torres was an Brazilian football player who captained Brazil National Football team to victory in 1970 FIFA World Cup.

He is considered as one of the best defenders and his goal (fourth goal) in the final of 1970 World Cup is considered as one of the greatest goals in history of world cup.

He has been inducted into Brazilian Football Museum Hall of Fame.

After his retirement, he worked as assistant manager of national football teams of Nigeria, Oman and manager of Azerbaijan National football team.
