1. Farah Khan

Farah Khan is an Indian film director, film producer, actress and choreographer who is famous for her choreography in many hit Bollywood films like Om Shanti Om, Tees Maar Khan, Jaan-E-Mann, Main Hoon Na to name a few.

Her choreography career started in 1992 with movie Jo Jeeta Wahi Sikandar. Her other prominent movies as a choreographer include Pehla Nasha, Dil To Pagal Hai, 1942: A Love Story, Barsaat, Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge, Border, Dil Se, Kuch Kuch Hota Hain, Kaho Naa... Pyar Hai, oh the list is huge.

Besides choreography, Farah Khan has also acted in cameo roles in movies like Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, Kal Ho Na Ho, Main Hoo Na, Om Shanti Om, Happy New Year, Shirin Farhad Ki Toh Nikal Padi(She was the leading woman in this movie).

She is also a famous personality on television as well, as she co-hosted many shows like Indian Idol, Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa, Dance Ke Superkids, India's Got Talent.

She has won 6 Filmfare Awards for her choreography besides being nominated thrice including 2 times for Best Director.

2. Har Gobind Khorana

Har Gobind Khorana was an Indian born American biochemist who shared Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine with Marshall W. Nirenberg, Robert W. Holley for their research to show how the order of nucleotide in nucleic acids, which carry the genetic code of the cell, control the cell's synthesis of proteins.

Khorana served as a faculty of University of British Columbia between 1952 to 1960.

He became a citizen of United States in the year 1966 and also received the National Medal of Science.

He also served as professor of MIT.

Khorana in 1978 was elected as a Foreign Member of Royal Society.

3. Sunderlal Bahuguna

Sunderlal Bahuguna is a environmentalist, follower of Mahatma Gandhi(Freedom Fighter and called as Father of Nation) and leader of Chipko movement(forest conservation movement in a nonviolent way by hugging the trees against cutting in 1973).

He is also known for fighting for preservation of trees in the Himalayas including the protest against building Tehri Dam.

Bahuguna has been awarded with India's 2nd highest civilian award Padma Vibhushan in 2009.

He was awarded Nobel Peace Prize in 2010 but Bahuguna refused the same.

He received the Right Livelyhood Award (known as alternative Nobel Prize) in 1987 for Chipko movement.

4. Farhan Akhtar

Farhan Akhtar is an Indian film director, actor, screenwriter, producer, playback singer and television host who is the son of famous Indian screenwriters Javed Akhtar and Honey Irani.

He started as an assistant director and began his directorial work with movie Dil Chahta Hain in 2001, the movie was a big success and the movie won National Film Award for Best Movie.

His other directorial movies include Lakshya, Don, Don 2.

He started working as an actor with movie Rock On!! which was a hit and fetched him 2 more National Awards (for Best Feature Film as a producer and Best Male Debut).

He further acted in versatile movies like Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara, Bhag Milkha Bhag, Wazir and Dil Dhadakne Do.

He has won 3 National Film Awards(one for direction, one for acting and other for Production), 8 Filmfare Awards, 6 IIFA Awards.

5. Mahendra Kapoor

Mahendra Kapoor was an Indian playback singer who sang for almost 5 decades singing more than 2500 songs and was popular for his patriotic songs including ever popular "Mere Desh ki Dharti".

He also worked as a voice actor providing voice mostly to famous actor Manoj Kumar.

He has been awarded with Padma Shri in 1972.

He also won National Film Award for Best Male Playback Singer in 1968 for "Mere Desh Ki Dharti".

He is a recipient of 3 Filmfare Awards.
