ONO and the death of centralized social platforms
Abstract
ONO is a new type of social network based on blockchain technology aiming to create an ecosystem based on the value of attention with the main principles of freedom and equality and social public governance for users.
With its maiden launch in China on April 15th, ONO is geared to become the next big thing with currently around 300,000 users in China alone, it's growth speaks for itself.
Culture
Ono culture is based on the principles of freedom and equality. It's about creating a platform where everyone has a voice, equal right and decentralization is at its true nature.
Centralized platforms like facebook have consistently abuse the rights of its users. From annoying pop-up ads to sale of users private information, the internet is becoming an unsafe place.
As @stellabelle said,
People deserve better than having their data up for sale to the highest bidder .
Ono founder ( Ke Xu) and her team saw these problems and decided to create an alternative .
A platform where people whose inner talents have been suppressed And those who don't get any compensation for their creativity due to click-bates and corrupt corporations that make profit from sale of their personal information, can express themselves without fear.
A platform where everyone is truly equal, decentralized and everyone have the same opportunities . This is something that the present centralized platforms we have now cannot guarantee to anyone.
@stellabelle started a movement which is called #yourdata. It is meant to enlighten people that there is a better alternative coming their way.
All we need do now, is have a little more patience till the end of July where the international version of ONO is slated to launch.
