Story Recap - Week 1

You awoke in your home to a beautiful morning. You did some minor chores in the crisp morning air, when you started hearing some commotion happen in the town center. This was much louder and more hectic than normal.

A fight? Town under attack? A riot? Who knows! You decided, instead of investigate, to help yourself to a... "free sale" going on at the town store. You steal a nice handful of items, and drop them off at your home.

One of your older neighbors begins mentioning about a statue being built to honor one of the town's guards.
Going to the town center, you find out more.

Apparently, while out on patrol, one of the guards was attacked. Folks say he nearly lost his leg. You don't know where this guard is, currently, but you can just about guess where the rest of the town is. Right here, in a horde of angry screams and spit.

They are all screaming their lungs out at a very peculiar man you've not seen before. Dressed in very expensive furs, he stands upon a wooden crate trying, and failing, to calm the crowd who simply want to know what the beast that attacked the guard is. What is the king going to do about it? Are the towns folk safe? Why do they think a useless statue will make them relaxed?

Special Thanks, Plus What's To Come

I just want to end this first Weekly Recap with a special thank you for playing. To all adventurers that have taken part so far, it means the world to me. If you don't see a vote or comment from this account, @supermegaship, than expect one from @stuffbyspencer. That's the personal account I use which has more RC attached so I'm more likely to interact through there.

I'm so happy you've decided to join in early, spread the word, and simply play along. I'm excited to see where this goes!

Speaking of which, I'm going to be rather busy for the month of October. This means, somewhat unfortunately, no major updates will be coming to One Year RPG for October.

I will, of course, continue posting the stories on a daily basis. This will never stop.

But, there are some areas I'm looking to improve that will just have to wait. In Novembers' Monthly-Catchup, I'll talk more about these improvements. The main thing I want to tackle is improving the One Year RPG website. It doesn't load quite as fast as I'd like it too, plus it's a little rough in spots.

Otherwise, look forward to the continued posts! Let's see where yall will take this story :)
