Manila Series 107 : "Taguan" with @walkofhope kids
It's not very often that I associate @walkofhope activities with what I sometimes blog about. It's much rarer if it comes about with another project.
This came about yesterday when our @bayanihan team were talking of projects from us curators, this is the first time i've heard of @jassennessaj' project @onerace. This project is an effort to curate posts of Filipino culture, as well as promoting our culture to be kept in the blockchain. This is a callout to every Filipino steemians to check it out and join.

So yesterday, @flabbergast-art was sending not just photos of the kids painting, but also when they're playing. It was one of the group's last day of classes so there were TEARS that fell. I guess it was one way to cheer them up...
Hide & Seek or "Taguan"

RULES:
A traditional game among us Filipinos, this is one of my favourites as a child.
As from the name itself, Hide and Seek, it's played with one child having to do the seeking while the rest are hiding. The goal is to not be seen obviously, but the seeker need to find someone to replace him/her. In doing this, the first person seen will be the next "IT" person, unless that person can TOUCH the wall or the tree where the IT person had the COUNTDOWN without being tagged.
Tagu-taguan, maliwanag ang buwan. Pagbilang ko'ng sampu, nakatago na kayo. Un, deux, trois...
The countdown by the seeker gives the rest time to hide, usually from 1 to10 like within 10 seconds. And so the game begins. The technique there is this, let the seeker be a bit far to where you're hiding so you can come out and not be tagged. Or just stay hidden and fall asleep.
As a child come after school, here a memory lingered where it was already getting dark . As no one wanted to go home, I suppose for us to stop playing, instead of hiding, I went home. I recall looking at the "IT" person while entering our gate and never to come out that evening. This was when we were playing at the street corner in front of our house.
I was a kid, right? HAPPY DAYS.

At the moment in Bayawan City, representatives from @steemph.negros have been helping Marlon like @bobiecayao and @jezmacher.

This is so cute. To be honest, I was hesitant to open up the project to the bayanihan curators for it may not be pleasing for them. But upon opening up, I'm thankful for some of the support and it served as fuel to be more focused on curating contents relating to Filipino Culture and Tradition.

Friday is portrait photography but you can post any day as long as you use the portraitphotography tag.
Probably best to direct him to @juliank's feed and if he looks at the photo contest announcements there he should be able to work it out! 😁

I'd be happy to do it for him and give him the winnings if it wins but it would be better on his account or maybe the walk of hope account(?) because he/the project would get a bit of publicity too. 😍

in our dialect we called that game here.. Panaguay from the root word " Panago " means to hide..
Is that the only Visaya word for it?
