One Punch Man Anime Series Announces Season 3

The One Punch Man anime series will continue into season 3. This information was announced through the official One Punch Man website and Twitter on Thursday, August 18, 2022.

Although One Punch Man will be heading to season 3, there is no further information regarding the production of the anime. The One Punch Man series is based on a manga written and illustrated by Yusuke Murata and ONE.

Yusuke Murata and ONE launched the One Punch Man manga on Shueisha's Tonari no Young Jump website in 2012. Meanwhile, Viz Media is also releasing the series in digital and print.

Here's a synopsis of One Punch Man shared by Viz Media: "Every time a promising villain appears, Saitama can defeat him with just one hit! Will Saitama find an opponent who can face him and give meaning to his life? Or will he just live in extreme boredom? "

Two seasons of this series were produced by different studios. However, for season 3 it is still not certain which studio is working on the series.

Season 1 of the series was produced by Studio Madhouse and aired from October to December 2015. Season 2 of One Punch Man was produced by Studio J.C.Staff which aired from April to July 2019.

The character designer for the anime One Punch Man season 1 and season 2, Chikashi Kubota, also shared a teaser visual for season 3. Currently, the staff involved and the official release date of season 3 is still in question.
