My Response to Dtube Snap by Enjoyinglife

Enjoyinglife made a video and called out Dtube creators who use Dsnap. It's very safe to say he didn't seem happy in the video. Saying " nobody gives a fuck about your Dsnap". I've never used Dsnap and honestly doubt I'll ever use it. I wanted to give my opinion on Dsnap and Enjoyinglifes video.

Considering He and Nathanmars kinda co-made dtubesnap, think I'd take his opinion with some weight. Yes, people are gaming the system and some people are not trying to up their game, they are using as a crutch. He is saying it was meant to get the ball rolling, not that you aren't working hard. Yes we used to get bigger upvotes, however, the amount of votes was much less, leaving many people not receiving any votes. I don't know, that video wasn't offensive in any way in my opinion. I agree with the point that 90% of the snaps are silly and pointless videos. Some are great however.

" I agree with the point that 90% of the snaps are silly and pointless videos. " That can be said about many of the videos here when you take it into a persons individual opinion.

I don't want it going back to the old vote system and hope you didn't take that as my meaning. Yes, it left MANY hungry mouths. In the end it was just my opinion on his opinions. Thanks a ton for taking the time to check out the content and share your view my friend.

100% man, no I didn't take it that way. I like the new system, more people reap rewards. It just comes with its own trials and tribulations. Keep steeming man!

I kind of agree with the low quality of Dtube snaps, and my argument is pretty simple - the thing that dtube needs is CONSUMERS of content, you know people sitting around looking for cool videos on dtube. So coming to the new page of dtube you will see MANY MANY dtube snaps with some dude saying how dtube is great and have a nice day. If this was a written blog i think most would agree this is what we call shitposting on steem. /it basically is a post for the sake of a post, with no original art or insight given. With just a cell phone and a minute you can make something AMAZING and UNIQUE, and unfortunately I dont see that with the majority of dtube snaps. Anyway I like this response video, it is interesting and a sign that we are growing up as a platform. :) Peace.

" the thing that dtube needs is CONSUMERS of content " this was a issue before Snaps and something I've believed needs to change. It's been a growing pain for Dtube in that sense. I agree with you 100% my friend

The thing with Dsnap is that it gives that "Anyone can make a vlog" idea.
While I mean technically anyone can, some people don't have nice equipment (meaning they might not even have a camera besides their phone). So they are gonna feel like they can't make content. I guess in my opinion it kind of gives new people a way to feel involved in a sense.

Also, it's good filler content. Like sometimes I make 10-20 minute vlogs that are filmed throughout a whole day, and I mean my audience (that barely exist) might want something small and simple while they wait 24+ hours for the next big vlog.

In summary, I dont mind the idea. I do understand that it could (and probably will) over saturate the vlogging scene, but at the same time, the more active people, the better.

I agree, it can be over saturated but anything can in the end. I think it's a nice option to a new user and even a good challenge if your experience. To see just how good you can make 1 minute.
