The first café in Siam / ร้านกาแฟแห่งแรกของสยาม

Cafe de Norasingha is the first café in Siam (previous name of Thailand), run by Thai people, now located at Norasingha house at Phayathai Palace. Cafe de Norasingha is an aristocratic restaurant which was very famous during the reign of King Rama VI is often the meeting of merchants or the owner of the business, foreigners and officials in those days. There are the taste of coffee and the great Thai food from kitchen of Norasingha house. In addition, there also sells exotic products from abroad such as canned beer, canned fruit and instant coffee.
When Phayathai Palace had renovation, The Phayathai Palace Conservation Foundation wants to open the coffee shop. It is a relaxing place for those who visit the palace and the present people have the opportunity to experience the atmosphere of the first coffee shop in Thailand. 2010, Cafe de Norasingha was officially opened again in the name of Cafe De Norasingha @ Phayathai Palace by using the royal garage building as a shop.
Cafe de Norasingha Located in Phayathai Palace. The building is the old building of the royal palace, European style building. Inside the shop decorated with brown tone color. The interior is emphasized on the restoration of the existing colors, patterns on the wall. The furniture is new works but imitate the characteristics of the old which classic charm as coffee shop in the past.
If you are the coffee lover, don't miss to go to Cafe de Norasingha. The Beautiful Cafe in an old palace building which you can relax with nice atmostphere and also get the feeling of Siam from the past.

ร้านกาแฟนรสิงห์ เป็นร้านกาแฟแห่งแรกของไทย เดิมตั้งอยู่ที่สนามเสือป่า ในรัชสมัย พระบาทสมเด็จพระมงกุฎเกล้าเจ้าอยู่หัว รัชกาลที่ 6 ร้านกาแฟนรสิงห์ เป็นร้านอาหารที่มีชื่อเสียงมาก ที่นี่เป็นสถานที่สำหรับพบปะกันของ พ่อค้าหรือเจ้าของธุรกิจ ชาวต่างชาติและข้าราชการในสมัยนั้น เนื่องจากมี กาแฟรสชาติดีรูปแบบตะวันตก และอาหารระดับชาววังจากครัวของบ้านนรสิงห์ นอกจากนี้ยังมีการขายสินค้าแปลกใหม่ที่มาจากต่างประเทศด้วย แต่เนื่องจาก กระแสการเปลี่ยนแปลงของรัชสมัยและการปกครอง ทำให้ร้านกาแฟนี้ต้องปิดตัวลง
เมื่อมีการบูรณะพระราชวังพญาไท คณะกรรมการมูลนิธิอนุรักษ์พระราชวังพญาไทมีความต้องการที่จะเปิดร้านกาแฟ เพื่อเป็นสถานที่พักผ่อนสำหรับผู้ที่มาเที่ยวชมพระราชวัง และคนในยุคปัจจุบันได้มีโอกาสสัมผัสกับบรรยากาศของร้านกาแฟแห่งแรกของไทยอีกด้วย ร้านกาแฟนรสิงห์ จึงได้เปิดให้บริการอีกครั้งในชื่อ ร้านกาแฟนรสิงห์ ณ พระราชวังพญาไท ซึ่งตั้งอยู่ในพระราชวังพญาไท โดยนำอาคารเทียบรถพระที่นั่งมาปรับปรุงเป็นร้านกาแฟ ตัวอาคารเป็นสไตล์ยุโรป ภายในร้านตกแต่งด้วยโทนสีน้ำตาล การตกแต่งภายในยังคงความคลาสสิคตามเดิม เฟอร์นิเจอร์ทั้งหมดเป็นงานใหม่ แต่ทำเลียนแบบลักษณะของชุดเดิม เพื่อให้คงเสน่ห์แบบคลาสสิคตามแบบร้านกาแฟในอดีต
หากคุณเป็น คอกาแฟ ลองหาโอกาสแวะไปร้านกาแฟนรสิงห์ ณ พระราชวังพญาไท ดูนะคะ คุณจะได้สัมผัสความสวยงามของร้านกาแฟที่ตั้งอยู่ในพระราชวัง ในรัชสมัย รัชกาลที่ 6 นอกจากนี้ยังสามารถผ่อนคลายกับบรรยากาศที่ดีในสวนโรมันรอบๆ อีกด้วย
