Why Bible Prophecy Matters! “The Rise of a One World Government”. Part Five

To understand “the Rise of the One World Government” we must tie the Book of Daniel to the Revelation of John. Both prophets support each other through similar visions and help clarify the details of this horrible period at the end of the ages when the New World Order manifests and takes the global stage. The Apostle Paul also was given insight into this time period and we will add some of his insights given by God to round out the picture.

I love to study Revelation, and it has become much clearer to me over the decades as I have read it many times and studied it in more depth in recent years. The vision happens to John in his later years (the last the original living disciples of Jesus) as he is exiled to the Island of Patmos as a dissident to Rome. Jesus in His glorified state appears to John and sends an angel to give him messages to the seven literal churches of Asia Minor and the unfolding revelation of the later days.

To summarizing the messages to the 7 Churches was to hear Jesus’ personal words for each Church. He calls believers to endure, remain faithful doctrinally, morally, and repent of their individual or corporate sins and be over-comers despite the great conflicts each Church faced. The Churches are given incredible eternal promises to those whom remain faithful to Jesus and overcome even when facing death, Revelation 1-3. Then the next 19 chapters is a series of unfolding events that takes place in both heaven and the earth as the false Messiah (Antichrist) arises to claim his throne through the most diabolic deceptive plan mankind will ever experience. The Revelation that unfolds is a cosmic battle between good and evil, God and Satan and who will ultimately dominate and establish their kingdom. Just for the record, God wins through His precious Son Jesus as King of Kings and Lord of Lords and establishes an eternal righteous kingdom.

After a series of very destructive judgments on the earth (Seal and Trumpet, Rev. 6-11) are unleashed against rebellious mankind; then the Revelation introduces the provocateur of this epic battle with a massive red dragon appearing in the heaven (Rev. 12). The great red dragon wants to devour the Child (Jesus) and destroy his mother (Israel). The great dragon, Satan is thwarted once again. The crucified Christ takes the keys of death, is resurrected from the dead and caught up to heaven and Israel as a Nation re-emerges in the last days from her grave of dead bones Ezekiel 37 (1948) to fulfill God’s promises. There will be a divine protection of Jewish believers in the wilderness during the last 3.5 years of the tribulation period. The promise of enmity between Satan and the women and her offspring is in full force; but the child (Jesus) will bruise or crush Satan’s head will soon be fulfill realized (Gen. 3:15).

The Dragon knows his time is short and is in a full rage after once again failing, so he goes to plan “B” Rev. 12:17. Satan possesses a man as his own son (a completely demonized god-man) who will initially deceive the Nation of Israel as a peace maker and believing that he is their promised Messiah. The kings and peoples of the world will also believe this deception, as he will have the full authority and power of the dragon to set up his temporal kingdom (3.5 years).

So, let us examine the parallels between Daniel and John and get clarity of the Beast who is the head of this One World Government.

• Both see the Beast rise out of the sea (symbolizing Nations) Daniel 7:3 & Rev. 13:1

• The Beast has 10 horns Daniel 7:7 & Rev.13:1 and John adds the Beast also have 7 heads and diadems (jeweled crowns) much like his evil dragon father Rev.12:3 (The seven heads represents 7 past opposing kingdoms empowered by Satan: Egypt, Assyria, Babylon, Medo-Persia, Greece, Rome, Divided Rome). John also saw the Beast 7 heads had blasphemous names on them and had a blasphemous mouth against God and heaven Vs. 5-6. Daniel affirms the big words and mouth of the Antichrist, Dan. 7:11, 20, 25.

• The Beast that arises has some of the same features of the three kings that Daniel saw in 7: 4-6: Lion (Babylon), Bear (Medo-Persia) and Leopard (Greece) and Rev.13:2; yet this new beast is distinctly different.

• Daniel 7: 7, Daniel cannot describe the fourth beast other than it was terrifying, dreadful and exceedingly strong and has 10 horns. Then he see’s another little horn coming from the 10 horns who plucks 3 of the horns (kings) up from their roots (most likely murdering them) also see Vs. 24. John describes the source of this Beasts great power and authority coming directly from the great dragon Satan Rev. 13: 2. The most murderous, wicked, evil, deceptive angel of all eternity is empowering the Beast and this would explain why Daniel called him terrifying!

• John is focused on a “mortal wound” that the Beast receives on one of his heads and is healed which will cause the whole world to marvel at this demonic resurrection of the Antichrist. Once again trying to mimic Jesus. Rev. 13: 3-4 validates the Beast is their Messiah and worthy of following and worshiping as God since he miraculously is brought back to life...this will be the deceived and unbelievers perspective.

• Both Daniel and John see the great persecution against the saints which will be both Jews, Jewish Believers and Gentile Believers. Satan and his Beast hate everything that God loves. Dan. 7:21, 25 and Rev. 13:7, 10, 15. John see’s the direct attack against our Jewish brethren Rev. 12: 17 and the death of many Gentile Believers Rev. 7: 9-14; 14:12-13.

• Daniel and John validate the 42-month or 3.5-year reign of the Antichrist based on the Jewish lunar calendar. Daniel 7:25; 12: 17 and Rev. 13: 5. Most theologians or Bible prophecy teachers would agree that this will be the second half of the 7-year tribulation period, and that is my conviction as well.

• Daniel and John both see the Beast’s reign as global and includes all nations, kings, languages and people’s groups. Dan. 7: 23 he will devour the whole earth. Rev.13: 3 the whole earth marvelled at the Beast. 13:7 tells us authority was given it over every tribe, people, language and nation, and all who dwell on the earth with worship it (the Beast and his talking image). Rev. 13: 16 the False Prophet (Mystery Babylon System, historically identified as the Roman Catholic Church) will cause all, both small and great, rich and poor, and both free and slave to receive the mark of the beast on their right forehand or forehead…the number 666. This will most likely be a micro-chip with an outward tattoo or symbol, so the person will visibly and publicly identify his or her loyalty to the Beast. Those who receive the Beast mark will receive severe judgement (Rev. 14: 9-11; 16: 2) and dam their souls to the lake of fire Rev. 19: 20-21 with the Beast and the False Prophet. This a very serious warning by Jesus and we all need to take heed.

• The Beast initially comes as a peace treaty maker and will be on the scene for the first 3.5 years. The world will be in chaos by this time after 3.5 years of judgement, mass confusion and desperation from the Nations. Everything that can be shaken will be shaken, Heb. 12: 26-29. The peace treaty, Daniel 9:27…"he shall make a strong covenant with many for one week"…then the betrayal comes to the Jewish people at the mid point of this treaty and puts an end to sacrifice and offers. This is the abomination of desolation that both Jesus and Paul spoke of in Matt. 24: 15; 2 Thes. 2: 3-4.

• The Antichrist/Beast is a man of war: Daniel 7: 21; Rev. 13:7; 16:14.

• The Beast will be completely judged, killed, and his kingdom destroyed at Christ second coming: Daniel 7: 9-14, 18, 25-27 & Rev. 19: 20. We who remain faithful and love Jesus our King will rule and reign with Him. This is our heritage and inheritance. The Apostle Peter said “we are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people of his own possession, that you may proclaim the excellencies of him who called you out of darkness into his marvelous light”. Yes, this world we live in can be very dark and the period leading up to the New World Order will intensify with darkness; but Jesus the Light of the World will fill his people with hope, His glory, power and they have conquered him (the Beast) by the blood of the Lamb and the word of our testimony, for they loved not their lives even unto death! Rev. 12: 11.

I will conclude this series next week Lord willing, on the Rise of the One World Government, as so much of their agenda and propaganda is unfolding right before our eyes, in our media and our own countries. It will be an extremely important blog, so stay tuned. As Jesus and the Apostles exhorted us in the last days to stay awake, be alert and be in prayer especially as we see the signs and prophecies manifest in our generation.
