Finished New Animal Piece and sticking to my Schedule, sort of...
Here is my next finished animal piece:
I am trying to stick with my "New Normal" Schedule
which ironically was basically my old "Old Normal" schedule when I was being good. And by good I mean, making my art and studio time in a consistent job like manner.
Oddly enough my consistency in art making was made redundant
when I started thinking about making videos. I thought, why not for fun start a Youtube channel and make videos. What sort of videos? There was the Rub so I tried to think about gardening videos, or simply visual ASMR ( I call it that thought it's not asmr but just a gengre of videos I noticed on Youtube that were about ethereal visual experiences to watch with a cuppa and relax) An example at a very feeble first try attempt at such a video I made:
I even toyed with the idea of filming my Minecraft play, as I myself enjoy watching Hermitcraft on Youtube.
but video making/editing/writing/lightening/production/set design is HARD and well, Big companies have people, groups of people who do each of those, so I have even MORE respect for diligent Youtubers who do it all on their own.
Have I given up on videos?
well, currently I have not shot much footage, really, since the "EVENT". Even my photography game is down as I am trying to document my 'walled garden' I'm making but keep forgetting to photograph before and afters and @winstonalden and I just hung a large amount of fence yesterday and did I get ONE photo...no. But, I digress...
I am still toying with a Vlog style video.
Something I could realistically do as PART of my daily art schedule. Very little edit, just roll and talk at the camera about this or that, then even the need for photographs could be gone, as I'd just have the video of things I'd be doing.
#However, this would all be for me
as I'd not really expect anyone to want to watch it. I mean , hey if one were to get a few regular viewers, it probably would propel my impetus to continue onward, but who can say. And do I WANT to do it?
Do any of you make video consistently and are you glad of it?
Have any of you become MORE structured and consistent at your 'at home' jobs since the EVENT.
I think I'll close with the Event
and that is to say, I've been calling this the Event, as it was unfolding I could NOT help but keep thinking of the old "That Mitchell and Webb Look" series of bits about a post apocolyptic game show after THE EVENT. Check them out, they are funny if not a little too prophetic.
They do say if you Don't laugh then you'll Cry.
I hope all are finding their way and their "new normal" in this Post Event world. Smile and look outside at nature even if you can't GO out into for very long. There WILL be another NEW normal one day.
Hi dear friend :) Is everything okay ?
I like how you're thinking of it as 'the event,' because it creates a marker for when we began the new world. I think it will be better.
Glad to see you are still approaching Normal...whatever that might be. And Sounds like things are busy, but going along well. I love your Sloth n' Tea party. So whimsy, as usual. I've also enjoyed your videos, and it's cool you are discussing video process in general. As I just recently bought a microphone, (supposed to be here tomorrow), and am going to try reading some of the things I've written, and put them out, SOMEWHERE. Maybe on Youtube, podcast, or whatever the thing is they do on here/Hive. I'm such a noobie at this stuff. And am not very organized, so will have to see what transpireth. But as someone somewhere said, having the desire is at least 1/10th the battle.
I like your idea of the ethereal video. Just to make everyone relax and chill in the moment. I would think folks would enjoy that.
Well, it's nice to say hello, and glad you are still about on here. I still haven't gotten over to Hive. One day soon. Though folks from there are spamming me in comments to Steemit folks. I find that quite interesting....if they are trying to get folks to come over there. Oh well, I've seen it all on here in the last 3.5 years, so nothing ever surprises me.
Hope all is well in your corner and you are hunkering happily. I just went out today to 'gone public' for some cat food. First time in 2 weeks. But I had my mask and gloves, and it all went quite peachy. Well, cheers on a Tuesday too late.
