Omise/OmiseGO Development
Omise continues to gain traction in Asia, announcing a partnership with Shinhan, the second largest bank in S Korea. A MoU was signed between Omise, OmiseGO and ShinhanCard, an affiliate of the Shinhan Financial Group. OMG is one of the few coins up on the development.
Does it come at a surprise that Korea-based Shinhan would partner with Thailand-based Omise over US-based Ripple and US non-profit Stellar? I guess not in hindsight. This shows room in the coin market for multiple coins that aim to tackle the same problems.
Still, keep in mind this is just a partnership MoU.
