THAILAND WILL RELEASE THE DIGITAL PASSPORT

The government of Thailand will release the “digital passport” in partnership with Ethereum startup OmiseGO.

The company Omise has signed a partnership agreement with the Ministry of digital technologies Thailand for collaboration on system identification and online payments on a national scale. The government hopes that the introduction of digital ID cards for citizens will help to reduce fraudulent activity in the network and to protect consumers. Some community members have questioned the technical possibilities of the project at this level at current load Ethereum.
