The lake keeps trying to freeze over....then it melts and tries again.
I like the way the ice reflected the sky.

I bought a Christmas cactus from the store
I re-potted complete with fake ladybugs
I thought I am doing a pretty good lazy man's Martha Stewart!
I had some leftovers for lunch...
I admit I had some turkey and too much of everything else. I will be back on track for Monday! Where is my Fiber One? lol
So while I am doing the whole true confessions, lets go all the way...
Here is a clue...I think I will save that for a latter post...and shssss dont tell @dswigle... Its just our lil secret, mm k?

That's one crazy effect with the water contrasting against the ice reflections. And not only that but that is one unbelievably beautiful place you live in. I'm so jealous, lol! :)

Dude!Paul!! Do I spy fruitcake? Seriously! As your food monitor, I say enjoy a taste and pass it on! I couldn't resist mine either. I poured more brandy on the ones that are being cured.Wow! That really looks like a feast for kings. I cheated and put some marshmallows in my yams. And brown sugar. And honey. A little butter. Oi! You win!
I love strange and odd hats. I do. The sunglasses totally rock it. I watched the video with you and the Ben kidlet playing on the ice, just waiting for one of you to go in. (I did that once when ice skating at night!) In the UP, I can take the short cut across the lake and save myself an hour getting to Escanaba. Cool beans! They make a path with orange cones. Yes, cars have gone in.
The ice looks like the clouds and makes or an amazing picture. I had to edit this because I cannot believe I forgot to mention it! Pfft!

yellingtelling me to go lightly with the fruitcake, and I did... More than half still in the fridge. I actually did my yearly fruitcake vid where you may have been mentioned in a positive way of course. I will put that out tomorrow for your viewingdispleasure. I am back on the healthy eating starting tomorrow morning with thecold slopFiber One - half a cup only, yes I know.That vid was a couple of years ago. See I actually am like a modern day Benjamin Buttons and am de-aging. The docs dont understand it but all I can say is its nice :)
I am never totally comfortable way out on the ice. They can have a pickup truck in the middle, but Im still a bit wary lol. It makes these random cracking noises that make my heart skip a beat!

I wanted to do a #BeautifulSunday post but to be honest I sat my butt right near the computer today. lol It may not have been pretty to see but since I have the cooties from someone , it was nice to take it easy. :)
Knowing that little dot is a fishing boat really puts how big the lake is into prospective. The sky reflecting into the lake really is pretty.
Nice orange hat. My son wore mainly orange all through middle school and most of high school. He hates it now. But he sure was easy to pick out of a crowd back then. lol
Your cactus replanted is adorable. And those left overs are making me Hungry. I've not had much of an appetite today so they must really look good. :D

Thanks. Once the lake has been frozen long, it no longer reflects as nice.
It's impossible to not eat leftovers after a holiday. And do I spy fruitcake? So does the lake freeze over enough you can walk on the ice or do you just get a thin cover? That'll be really pretty when it does happen.
Some years it does and they have big ice fishing tournaments. Some years they have had to cancel because the ice is so then its not safe. If it does I will walk out and get you pics.
