Oktoberfest 2017 - It Is Over
18 days of Beer are over
It was a hard time as every year but we made it - the Wiesn 2017 ended last night. It was fun but you realise it is tougher each and every year to compete with the young generation. This is the last Beer post for the next weeks I promise but also one for Beer Saturday by @detlev.
Steemfest 2018 in Munich?
Who of you guys have been in Munich and who will come in 2018 to join the 185th Oktoberfest? Would love to get an overview of all people that visited our yearly weeks of madness - I know of @alexvan @surfermarly and @adventureevryday. Wouldn't it be great to handle the next Steemfest here and book an entire tend for the Steemit community? Comment below your thought :-).
Our last Wiesn Day
Photos show impressions of the last day enjoying the smell of alcohol, sweat and more you can not (or do not want to) define. The organisers are happy (as ever year - what else should they report?) with the stats. To me it seems less people but I might be wrong. Official sources report that after 18 days a total of 6.2 million guests visited the Oktoberfest, including 480.000 guests at the Oide Wiesn.
Top visiting countries
To analyse visitor stats from abroad the organisers make use of cash machines data and came to the conclusion that these are the top 10 countries to visit Oktoberfest 2017:
1 - USA
2 - Great Britain
3 - Austria
4 - France
5 - Switzerland
6 - Australia
7 - The Netherlands
8 - Italy
9 - Spain
10 - Denmark
