4 wheeling in Deckers CO
Had the day off today and spent the better part of the morning doing mundane tasks... fixing the sink.. walking the dog... changing the cord on the vacuum.. finally about 11 decided to hit the road...
I decided since I just bought a truck with 4WD that it should be tested out.. beautiful scenery on the way to Deckers...
After 2 hours of driving I finally found the sign I had been looking for...
I put the truck in 4WD and headed up the trail...
I found a perfect campsite that I noted for future use and rolled a blunt for the drive back..
Thanks for coming along... feel free to upvote and resteem.. peace out y'all... Dave
Followed. Do any fishing while you were there? The trout there are huge but the water gets so much pressure that the fish are notoriously hard to catch. I bounced nymphs off of the heads on several trout with out so much as a passing glance from the fish!
Cheers, @rebele93
I'm not much of a fishermen.. okay I suck at fishing.. I can't even talk the fish into giving up... but the river had people fishing all over.. every 200 yards or so.. they had the waders on and were fly fishing... which I've never even attempted..
It's actually a lot of fun, and I find it very peaceful. You know what they say though... "There's a fine line between fishing and standing in the water looking like an idiot."
You would have been better off buying STEEM instead of the truck....in a year you could have had 10 trucks. :)
Beautiful pics @davedickeyyall.....
Look at my wallet... I buy plenty of STEEM lol... I gotta have a toy for myself ..
Lol
It's really seems like that you have a real grate trip and my friend all photos that you had taken are great.
It’s hard to beat taking the rig up into the mountains for a little adventuring and 4 wheelin’ great pics too!!
That's what I thought.. plus I needed to test out the 4WD since I just bought it
I will be taking this beast for some mountain runs this year. C’mon.
You in Colorado?
Washington state at the base of the Blue mountains. They aren’t the Rockies by any means. Lol
I loved Washington except for all the damn rain.
That’s the west side, I only visit here during the summer. 😉 I’m in the desert part. The south eastern part, Walla Walla right on the Oregon border.
Oregon is my favorite state... I lived out in Takilma on muy friends property a couple summers... aka growing weed lol
