Day 863 (Daily Post)
Day 863. It is a beautiful day here and hopefully this nice weather holds for the next few days so that I can get some much needed weed-eating done around the 'yard' along with some other activities like gathering more grape vines for crafting purposes.
I have been considering doing some cooking on the grill this weekend with some apple wood that I saved when I pruned the big apple tree. It is definitely cured well enough at this point and should make for some tasty food. It seems like a lot of work for a little flavor but I am thinking it will also make for an enjoyable experience.
The late frost this year seems to have not impacted the apple trees because yesterday I noticed that they are loaded with small fruit and looking like they are going to produce a lot this year. I have yet to look at the pear trees but I am thinking and hoping that they will be loaded with fruit as well.
Everything is actually growing really well this year and I am slowly gathering seeds from stuff as it completes it's maturation cycle and storing them away for later use at whatever place I wind up at when I eventually move. Especially the wild edible and medicinal plants that I have been doing wild-cultivation with the last few years.
Well I am going to wrap this up and get on with my day and see what all I can accomplish while the daylight is burning.
