RE: OCDB - State of the Curation Rewards + Downvotes
The worth of a post is subjective, making threats to those who vote on 1 pic 3 lines of words posts, is blatant bully tactics, forcing them to vote who you think they should vote for is counter productive. Worst yet, they leave this platform because you take away their freedom of choice and individuality.
You forget people can vote with direct steem transfers with those they are subscribed too, which makes your bullying ineffective.
Thanks for your feedback, we'll take that into account. I hope you realize why and how are we focusing on specific accounts.
The freedom of choice will still be there, and just as they have freedom of choice of who to vote, everyone else has freedom of choice on who to downvote, right?
Transfers are actually incredible, because they take away the circle voting, unless a person selfvotes ten times a day, which will eventually lead to other people downvoting them.
We're not bullying anyone and will not be, under a system where downvotes exist, using them is not bullying but just that, using the tools of the system.
Your actifit Dapp review was great, I gave it an ocdb vote. Don't take this as an attempt of buying your silence with votes, actually you being vocal about an issue you deem worthy of having an opinion, you brought my attention to your other posts... Now imagine that big accounts like ocdb dedicated to sell votes or just circle vote with 10 other big SP friends. That's right, your post would've never gotten some of the rewards it deserves.
Hopefully this makes it more clear, if it doesn't, please wait until you see our downvotes, reasons and results.
Have a great day!
The main reason why I brought this up, I upvote a lot of people who for example use Actifit, in many cases, they fit your criteria, 1 photo 1 or 2 sentences. They don't even pass the $0.02 minimum requirement to receive any reward at all, yet I will stii upvote them to encourage them to keep going, and now I am going to be punished unless I convince these complete strangers to hey add more pictures and maybe another paragraph because if they don't my own content is now going to be down voted. I still call that bullying.
There is no individual freedom of choice when it comes to rewards. When it comes to votes, yes, and nothing in this post or anywhere changes the fact that anyone can vote how they like, and the blockchain always permits it. But if others don't feel the rewards are contributing to the value of Steem they can downvote, and the rewards will be paid out according to upvotes minus downvotes, making rewards a community, not individual, decision. (If you want to reward someone based on your own individual decision, transfer your own Steem to them.)
No one is guaranteed any payout ever
This post mentions those that vote for people who produce 1 photo with a few lines of texts will be targeted as well, people like myself. This is what my argument is about.
