Sublime Sunday - Much needed Weekend Getaway !
After a crazy long week, with back to back meetings and presentations, I needed a nice relaxed weekend.
So on Saturday, me and my friends set off for Deolali in Maharashtra, India, where my friend has a beautiful holiday home. A home far away from home. 5 hours away from my city, finally i was at peace!
Deolali is a small hill station located away from the cacophony of the urban cities all around it. It has been a significant military center & is among the oldest army cantonments of the country.
When in Deolali all we do is Eat Drink Sleep & Repeat. It is the best way to rejuvenate and refresh ones mind and soul. We just switch off from the hustle & bustle of the city life and just enjoy the simplicity of this beautiful town.
The weekend has come to an end and it’s time to head back to the chaotic city. But I know for sure that Deolali is place I will keep visiting for the years to come.

Does looks like a nice place to relax and do nothing.
@ace108 , yes it is a very relaxed place. There are many healing and yoga institutes there too. Best to rejuvenate your body mind & soul. :)
I can understand how weekdays goes in office when each day is more rigrous than the day before....office, presentation, meeting, calls and repeat......but we can cover with eat, drink, and sleep....eat drink and sleep,, eat drink and sleeppp.....a perfect way to cover up 5 days in weekends...
@steemflow , yes we all need a break once in a while. We get soo busy with our daily life that we forget to the main purpose of this life.. that is to live and enjoy every moment. So live life to the fullest ☺️♥️
Yupss...it used to be in our routine as well till.last year ...weekend drive to Haridwar, Rishikesh, Shimla, manali.....and few other near about better to get chilled outside the buzzing citylife...

Sounds like the perfect weekend retreat after a busy week in the city. 5 hours drive is a big trip for two days though - I hope you were able to share the driving or someone would have been very tired Monday morning!
