This is a fact most often ignored by the rest of the world. Yes, Africa does have some rotten leaders, but there are some who genuinely seem to care for their country and act on their behalf with determination and intelligently.

As you said, it all comes back to the people and how wisely they vote. Unfortunately most vote those who make unrealistic promises of short-term benefit.
