The Greatest Gift to A Child

Gifts! Gifts!! Gifts!!!

What would you think is the greatest gift of all time to gift to a child?

Coming from different cultural background, we might or would have different answers to that.
To some people, they might say its being a good parent to your child and that leads us to how do you become a good parent to your child?

To that also, it depends on our upbringing and the types of opportunities we have as a child. Some would say it’s giving them things money can buy like the latest gadgets and toys.

To others, it’s supporting their dreams and ambitions.

But from my own point of view, it’s Education.

Coming from a Third World Country, where there’s widespread and high level of poverty, you need an edge to stand tall among peers.

My Grand Father almost never had the opportunity of going to school because his parents where dead and the uncle he was living with saw no reason why he should attend the missionary schools of that time even though it was free. It was due to his friend’s help that he was able to attend school and that made him have an edge over people in his community. It gave him opportunities that others don’t have or were not qualified to and he made sure all his children had decent education.

Education in this part of the world means everything. You want to gain opportunities, you need it. You want people to listen to you and respect you in life, you need it. You want to be able to stand among peers and foes without hiding your face, you need it.

Education is everything, riches might not mean much or wealth might not mean much without Education.

The Greatest Gift To A Child is Education.
