Hungarian Egg Dumplings (Tojasos Nokedli)

Long time no see! I have been busy plucking weeds from the front yard, the grass are growing like crazy, but it's beautiful when all is green :D I think I will treat myself with a couple pots of flowers to beautify my front door :D

Yesterday I had to help my husband moving furniture around, boy they were heavy and took quite some of our times. In the end, I was too tired to prepare dinner! His fault ha-ha :D

So I prepared a quick meal for us, tojasos nokedli. It is Hungarian. Basically it's scrambled eggs with spaetzle :D Easy but filling :D

I saw an application called share2steem, does anyone know if I can link it to my instructable website? So far only Instagram and Twitter, I saw. I wonder if I can link it to my instructable. If you know, please let me know :D

So here is the recipe of how I made the egg dumpling above. It is always served with butter lettuce salad. Recipe followed bellow :D

  • 3/4 c x 2 flour
  • 2 whole eggs
  • salt to taste
  • 1/2 c water and 1/2 c milk (or all milk or all water)

  • mix everything in a bowl with wooden spoon

  • bring a pot of water to boil, add in salt to taste and 1 tbsp olive oil
  • drop batter into water using spaetzle maker
  • boil until floating

  • strain and drain spaetzle

  • beat 8 eggs, and add in spaetzle
  • heat 2 tbsp oil on non stick pan, make scramble egg with spaetzle
  • season with a pinch or two of ground white pepper and Vegeta seasoning (if not salt)

Butter Lettuce Salad

  • 1 bag of butter lettuce soaked in enough cold water mixed with salt, sugar, and vinegar

Easy right? Serve egg dumpling with salad and devour immediately :D
