Ground Beef Sushi Bites
Hello!
These are not your regular rice sushi, but rather a mock sushi, I guess? The main ingredient is ground beef and it contains no sticky rice at all in the making :D
You can serve them with rice obviously, as a companion, or salad too, but they are good for snacking as is, with your favorite dipping sauce :D
- 250 g ground beef
- 1 long carrot
- 2 Green onion, thinly sliced
- 2 fresh bird eye chilies, chopped or thinly sliced
- 3 garlic, crushed or super thinly sliced
- 1/4 onion, sliced or diced
- a generous pinch of ground white pepper
- a tsp soy sauce
- a tsp sesame oil
- salt or seasoning granules to taste (such as Magi brand)
- 1 egg
- 1-2 Nori (roasted seaweed)
- cooking oil, for frying
- In a bowl, combine all ingredients but frying oil
- Take one nori sheet and lay it flat on a bamboo rolling mat
- Pat ground beef mixture on nori sheet as shown on picture
- Roll as you would do sushi.
- Moisten end-side of nori sheet so it would stick, and fry roll on medium heat
- Drain roll on paper towel, slice and serve immediately
Once I am back fully, I will resume my daily theme, so that it would be easier for you to find them :D Thank you!
