African Queen?

Hey everyone, thanks to my new friend @yabshire I now know what this is, a gorgeous African Queen or Plain Tiger butterfly. I was on my usual hunt for some more epic bee pictures and she popped in, so I just had to capture the moment. I did a video too of her feeding do check it out here ..

It is very seldom you get to take some fantastic pics of the underside of butterflies on this occasion I got really lucky, she was the perfect 'model' gorgeous right?

It was almost 'meant to be' usually when I try and take pics of butterflies they get skittish and fly off, this one was different almost as if she was posing?

I am convinced that nature knows good from bad and if your intentions are pure as mine always are, they sense it and 'play along' as she did.

I got a nice pic or two of a few of my favourite insects doing what they do best, making delicious honey for us all foraging nectar in order for that to happen.

I was rather surprised to see such a hive of activity on what are considered 'weeds' in South Africa. These flowers are called 'Black Jacks' and make this horrible little seed that grips to everything if you walk through it, fantastic for the survival of the species though and very well adapted. I hear this plant makes for terrific honey too and after I got such epic pictures, now love this plant.
