I choose to say nothing...or do I?

Long ago, I was very active in everything. I had a powerful voice. I used to protest, I used to raise my voice loud if certain things don't match with my opinion. I used to judge people based on their appearance. Yeah, it's hard to believe but in my early teens, I was like that sh*t.

It was a long journey to learn how to accept others' opinions, how to show compassion to other's life choices, how to tolerate others' lifestyles. I think our culture has a huge influence building this perception. I'm from a Muslim family and grew up with Muslims. It's not like that anyone actively taught me or taught to anybody, to hate someone or others ways of life. But it's true that the whole culture has passive influence on it, which can lead anyone to have misconception about others.

And now, when I talk about accepting other's cultures, their life choices and opinion; people think I'm crazy. People think I'm against the religion, I'm against the culture and social norms. But I always believe, we can follow our religion, we can be what we are regardless of accepting others. You know, this 'hate' has two side effects. If you hate someone for some reason, they will have their own reason to hate you too. And if you judge, stereotype someone for some certain reasons, the same thing gonna happen to you too. I really believe this way. But I know there are many who don't and then this war begins...

We always can have tolerance, compassion, respect, and love for others. It doesn't mean we have to have the same origin, same belief, or same skin color. I find it difficult to spread this simple message. And it's more than difficult to make someone understand this.

As I was saying, now I don't keep my voice loud to put my opinion, if even it's positive. I choose to be quiet and accept others. It's their life, it's their way of living it, it's their choice to wear something; I have no right to keep my voice loud for this. Rather, showing compassion, spreading the positivism can help.

There's no point to judge anyone based on something. I mean if they are doing something wrong, we are also responsible passively, that we didn't take any action. So, only blaming and stereotyping others not gonna help ever. Rather showing love can help to make them understand what they need to do.

I'm not sure if I managed to give my messages. It's actually very complicated and tough to make it clear in words.

But the thing is 'not saying a single word' sometimes worth and equal to say a thousand words!

Much Love
