Beastars (Review)

It is a world populated by anthropomorphic animals, for years they have sought peace between carnivores and herbivores, creating a society where both can coexist in harmony. But the place where terror and discrimination against carnivores can be seen most is at Cherrytown School, where herbivores feel threatened daily by these beings while carnivores must get used to bad looks and stay distant.

The story focuses on Legosi, a gray wolf that, due to its size and appearance, is the center of attention, remains distanced and in the shadows so as not to disturb anyone. One of the herbivorous students was killed at school, targeting all carnivores but especially the only carnivore who was always with him at the theater club, Legosi.

Legosi: A gray wolf that tries to repress its hunting side, moving away from all its possible prey and living in the dark accompanied by some carnivorous friends.

Jack: Legosi's friend dog, they've known each other for a long time and consider themselves great friends.

Louis: Leading deer of the theater club, the most popular of all and the closest to getting the title of Beastar.

Haru: White rabbit that takes care of the school garden, has a bad reputation with most animals.

Gohin: Panda caretaker of the black market of the city, in his spare time he is a psychiatrist of carnivores with problems.

Juno: Wolf new member of the school and theater club.

The first thing that caught my attention was anime design, I was interested in how they could move or how they designed some parts; such as wings, hooves, etc. After seeing the first chapter, I was completely trapped, mostly because of the "racism" before carnivores and how they could live like that, a world where predators are feared in a different way.

Apart from that, the character of Legosi, a carnivore who does not want to accept his predatory side, can he starve to death? Can him suffer mental problems because of his hunger for raw and hairy meat? That's what I got to ask. In addition to it animation that I still can't know how to name it, I'm not sure if the animation changes or I have to go to the doctor again for another eye exam; but what I'm sure of is that excellent animation and a beautiful opening.

Beastars is a good anime, with excellent animation and diverse characters. I know very well that for non-lovers of anime, it seems boring, it is not interested, or because of the simple fact that it is anime, you already imagine certain things; but you must give new things a chance, anime is not just high school romance or death fights with super powers, it can become more.

So to you, dear reader, I recommend that you watch Beastars, an anime that deals with various topics when it starts being something else, I doubt you're not going to get bored.
