Bicycle Tour, Day 18: I'm going nuts
Early update here since the weather is a bit and I'm eating - you'll probably guess what.
Yeah so... Today morning I went to a store to return few bottles I had found while cycling. I thought I'd buy something small with the money, but I found two bags of walnuts for 5€ - 400 grams (2850 calories). It's a decent value, especially for walnuts.
But later today, I found even better value.
I went to this store called Halpahalli - "Cheap Hall", literally in English - to buy some matches, not that I'd be cooking today cause been raining, but just in case. So, just looking around, it actually was pretty cheap and not just a name to attract customers. And then I found a 1kg pack of peanuts for 3,50€. Guess how many calories. Fucking over 6000! Excuse me my language, but holy fuck - that beats the cheapest peanut butter I've found by almost half the price! Of course I bought one! Why you even asking that?
Here, take a look at my nuts:
I think I should actually start eating those for once instead of hoarding them. That's why I only bought one of those big mofos; I was afraid they wouldn't fit into my bag.
Ok, I will start "lightly" with this one.
Just kidding, I ate it already. My stomach feels kinda funny, not like bad or anything, but I guess they're kinda hardcore food; 69% fat and 15.5% protein. Only 3.7% of carbs. I guess that goes kinda nicely for breaking the fast because I think my body will stay in ketosis and actually start burning the fat from the nuts. I think at least, I'm no nutrition expert so I'm just thinking out loud.
Perhaps it works, because I'm feeling quite energized already. And if you'd compare eating 1400 calories of nuts vs. equivalent calorie amount from a burger meal, I'm pretty damn sure the burger would knock me out to food coma.
Also, plain nuts are a bit "hard" to eat after the initial big hunger because there's not much flavor in them, so you just gotta stuff them in there.
Oh yeah, I also got my bread my grandparent's bought me that I need to consume - with peanut butter of course, perhaps with some bilberry jam too that I still got left.
Ok, end of nutty post, back to moving my mobile nut case (aka. the bicycle).
From now on, I shall call you the squirrel with a mohawk!
Be my quest😂
