Collection Highlights - 1868 & 187? Shield Nickels from my Mothers Side

The 1868 Shield nickel is the older of the two and is in better shape. They made over 28.8 million of these nickels, in the Philadelphia mint made up of 75% copper, and 25% nickel. These are stunningly beautiful coins and designs especially in the higher grades. Having that Shield surrounded by the oak leaves while the other side shows the 13 stars surrounding the number five with the United States of America and the rated edge. Overall it is a stunningly beautiful design for not having any figureheads.

G04
Taking a look at the obverse and reverse of this coin, I think it might grade as good as good o4, or G04. It is in pretty rough shape, with the date barely legible, most details were thin and it hits a strange reddish hue to it. I'm not sure if it's environmental damage, toning, or some other additive that is making the color change.

FR02 - AG
I believe this coin dates somewhere in the 1870 range but I can't determine the last digit. That's most likely due to the environmental and where on this corn. If I had to grade it it would be an fr02 to an ag03 at best, but it's a likely to get some sort of environmental damage with the amount of reddish and black pitting to the surfaces of the coin.
