My father was one of many soviet civilians who was called up by government to neutralize consequences of an accident at Chernobyl station. He brought many photos and much more memories about months in Pripyat and Chernobyl.
He was send there a year after the accident.
After that he told me about strawberry as big as man fist. About fishing with empty hook and pikes around 1-1,5 meters (4-5 ft).
And he had brought me the best souvenir for a 10 years old boy - military dosimeter DKP-50-A.
It was like small pen. You had to look inside it like into kaleidoscope. And you would see readings.
