Portrait on clay
This is the sculpture that I made by copying the reference behind it. This is one of my best work out there. It took me total of 4 days with 3 hours per day. This work is a total complete one with clean finishing. It was really fun working on this sculpture as well as I learned so many things from this.
The process is very simple. You need a wooden base and a rod or long wooden block for the armature inside . Here i have use the rod. Then you need clay and a reference. After that the most important part is observation. You have to observe the reference and put the clay accordingly. In the beginning you need to focus on the forms, volumes and character of the portrait then later comes detailing.
It might sound hard but once you get to know how to use the clay then you can easily create the form. The character might be difficult to copy at once but we all know "Practice makes man perfect ".
Increíblemente hermosa esta obra, en serio logras cosas geniales usando tus manos :)
