I have a golden retriever, and i really recommended it. They are very kind, affective and obedient. The negative part is just when they are young, they are veeery energic and do a lot of mischief, but i think it's the normal passage of a puppy. So after one year, they are just perfect dogs. But keep in mind that there are a global character for a race but that every dog is different. It's like the lottery, you can fall on a very difficult one :D
I would definitely love to get one. They are beautiful, and very loving / friendly.
