Inktober 2019 | Day 12 of 31 | Word of the day "dragon" | @oscurocactus
Inktober is a month long art challenge created by artist Jake Parker that is focused on improving skill and developing positive drawing habits. Every day for the month of October anyone participating in the Inktober challenge creates an ink drawing and posts it online. Remember to use the hashtags inktober and inktober2019 if you want your art to be seen by everyone.
🌵PROCESS🌵
For this drawing the word of the day was "dragon", so it occurred to me to make a person becoming one. I also wanted to do something that represented the anger and anger we sometimes feel, due to various situations that make us lose our minds, making us feel totally alien to ourselves. And in summary I wanted to work the anger in the form and composition of a dragon, since they are creatures that give to see it.
🌵Final Work🌵
"I can't help it, sometimes I feel like my body and my soul fade away. I feel like I'm someone different, like this body doesn't belong to me. I have the surreal thought that my body will go into a kind of mutation at some time or something, because I feel that inside it will carry the anger, strength and flames of a dragon"
