The Hatter
The Hatter is a character in the novel The Adventures of Alice in Wonderland, by the English writer Lewis Carroll. This character is also known as the Mad Hatter, although in Carroll's work he is never called that. The confusion probably comes from the fact that the Cheshire Cat warns Alice that the Hatter is insane, which is confirmed by the Hatter's eccentric behavior; In addition, the chapter where the Hatter appears is titled "A snack of crazy people". The Hatter appears again in the sequel to the play, called Through the Looking Glass and what Alicia found there, with the name Hatta, 1 one of the White King's messengers.
