RE: The Tapestry Of Lamplight On Winter's Kiss
I see absolutely nothing wrong with painting from inspiration. My mom does that with all her art students and very often, the students creatively inspired version of someone's photo, or a magazine cut out... transforms the image into something completely magical.
You have achieved just that! Beautiful piece of art!
Thank you @jaynie for the self confidence booster. Most of the time I just paint whats in my head, but I've been on this paint from inspiration kick for a little while now. Maybe I am running out of my own ideas? haha. Your mom's an art teacher?? cool. It's always fun to learn something new about your steemit friends. Also a bit scary now that I know you have an eye for decent work.. (I have a look of fear on my face) hehe. At what learning level does she teach? Meaning young children, school, college, or hobby. I should REALLY take an art class to see what it is I am missing. Self taught is sometimes very frustrating.
Thanks for the compliments!!!
My pleasure :) and you know... sometimes its good to change things up a little because that in itself brews fresh inspiration. Yes my mom is an artist and art teacher :)
