[ITA] Cari steemies,
per aprire questo 2019, ho pensato di condividere con voi il mio panda canterino che fa parte di una conversazione disegnata su Dada intitolata Singing bear. Sono ancora sulla scia dei festeggiamenti con gli amici di ieri sera e un po' di leggerezza per iniziare mi sembra un'ottima idea ^.^

Iniziata tre anni fa, è stata rispolverata in questi giorni

nel today's drawing challengee mi ha subito attirata visto il dolce e tenero soggetto. L'indicazione nel titolo era generica ma ho subito pensato di ritrarre un Panda.

[ENG] Dear steemies,
to open this 2019, I thought to share with you my singing panda that is part of a conversation designed on Dada entitled Singing bear. I'm still in the wake of the celebrations with friends last night and a bit lightness to start it seems a great idea ^.^

Started three years ago, it was dusted off in these days

in today's drawing challenge and it immediately attracted me seeing the sweet and tender subject. The indication in the title was generic but I immediately thought of portraying a Panda.

[ITA] Una delle cose che da sempre mi incuriosisce sono i nomi scientifici degli animali. Mi piace scoprire da dove derivano e se hanno qualche particolare significato. A volte derivano dai nomi dei naturalisti che li hanno scoperti, altre volte dalle caratteristiche dell'animale.
Il nome scientifico del panda è

Ailuropoda melanoleuca

che in greco antico significa Piede di gatto - nero bianco.
In effetti le loro zampe con i caratteristici cuscinetti somigliano molto a quelle del gatto e i colori sono proprio quelli tipici del manto.

[ENG] One of the things that has always intrigued me are the scientific names of animals. I like to find out where they come from and if they have any particular meaning. Sometimes they derive from the names of the naturalists who discovered them, sometimes from the characteristics of the animal.
The scientific name of the panda is

Ailuropoda melanoleuca

which in ancient Greek means Cat foot - black white.
In fact, their paws with the characteristic bearings are very similar to those of the cat and the colors are just those typical of the mantle.
