Munich Residenz
Hello Steemians.
One museum highly recommend visiting is the Residenz Munchen.
Munich is a modern vibrant city that is alive with so much history and art. These images are from the Residenz München. The former royal palace of Wittelsbach monarchs of Bavaria and is the largest city palace in Germany.
Tucked away in the Residenz is one of the largest collections of holy relics sanctioned by the Catholic Church. Most were amassed during the Counter-Reformation, the Catholics answer to the Reformation. The majority of the bones are thought to be “catacomb saints”, the bones of unknown ancients from Roman catacombs given new life as bones of Saints by the Catholic Church.
Literally took half the day to walk around the palace to see all the splendid rooms, art, and lifestyles of those who use to live there. Very lavish and magnificent.
