Totem of water
Hello to all dear friends and welcome back to my blog.
Today I present a mixed technique painting, watercolor, oil and chalks on canvas.
The subject can be traced back to my world view of water-related symbols.
The painting features a central door and some tribal totems.
The arched door is ambivalent in meaning: a shield symbol of defense and closure, and an opening, symbol of passage into another world.
The subject I wanted to represent is a system of symbols and signs that praise the supernatural world where man merges with water.
I scratched and marked the surface with an alphabet invented as an attempt to communicate with the divine.
After all, Totems are symbols of a clan or a society that individuals worship for a lifetime.
Do we also worship the water God?

Totem d'acqua
Ciao a tutti cari amici e ben tornati sul mio blog.
Oggi vi presento un dipinto a tecnica mista, acquarello, olio e gessetti su tela.
Il soggetto è riconducibile alla mia visione del mondo dei simboli legati all'acqua.
Il dipinto è caratterizzato da una porta centrale e da alcuni totem tribali.
La porta ad arco è ambivalente come significato: uno scudo simbolo di difesa e chiusura, e un varco, simbolo di passaggio in un altro mondo.
Il soggetto che ho voluto rappresentare è un sistema di simboli e segni che inneggiano al mondo soprannaturale dove l'uomo si fonde con l'acqua.
Ho graffiato e segnato la superficie con un alafabeto inventato come un tentativo di comunicazione con il divino.
In fondo i Totem sono dei simboli di un clan o di una società che gli individui venerano per tutta la vita.
Veneriamo anche noi il Dio acqua?
