Steemit & Dtube to destroy the Porn Industry?
If you are a guy, most likely you look at porn on the internet.
The stats are just mind boggling!
Porn Hub got 23 Million views in 2016 and the people watching spent the equivalent of over 5,000 centuries viewing these sexual videos, according to fightthenewdrug.org.
That's a lot of tail and that's just ONE website.
Imagine for a minute the implications of all this porn consumption. How many people get their phones or computers contaminated with Malware, due to all this porn infested stickiness?

So if you are a guy (usually) and you like to look at porn but don't particularly care for malware, then here is some exciting news!
The popular social media platform known as Steemit, is building an X rated version of their loved D-Tube, a video streaming platform, built on block chain technology.
How Will This Destroy The Porn Industry?
First, you must ubderstand what D.Tube is.
D.Tube is the first crypto-decentralized video platform, built on top of the STEEM Blockchain and the IPFS peer-to-peer network.

Crypto Incentive
Imagine that you are a creator of porn and you want to sell your porn. Currently you have to compete in a cut throat world where you pay exorbitant prices for advertising to try to steer customers to YOUR videos. After you get customers to view your offering, you now have to get them to purchase your product.
Now let's look at the X-Rated DTube service. If it works like the current DTube platform, viewers could give you a thumbs up and pay you.
Is it worth it? Could I actually make money like this? Let's see! Let's look at what current DTubers are making...
OMG! Some of these people are making over $500 for ONE video uploaded just a few days or a few hours ago. Wanna know the cool part? Dtube is new!
Currently, there are only about 600,000 Steem accounts. Of those, I am not sure how many are participating in Dtube but the number is, most likely, far blow that. Compare this to Youtubes over 1 Billion users.
Dtube, Steemit, and all associated sites look to be growing faster than Youtube and the like.
Resistant to Censorship
This one is a biggie. Have you ever had your Youtube video flagged or blocked, when you did nothing wrong? Guess what? You are at the mercy of Google. You have to abide by anything they say... Period.
With Dtube, this is impossible. No video can ever be taken down by 'The Man'. Instead, the community is policed by the members. This is something you Reeeeallllly need to research!
A Fair Platform
This platform is extremely fair and you can actually see every penny or Steem that every Dtuber earns. This is transparency. There are no hidden algos to steer money away from you.
In the recent past, many Youtubers have been complaining that they are not making as much money anymore but they are producing better quality. This is, most likely, due to Youtubes algorithms. They are geared for the benefit of Youtube and Google, not YOU!
Dtube is vastly different.
Ads Free
There are no ads on Dtube. You will not lose subscribers to another competitor that runs ads on your videos. You will not lose revenue because Dtube thinks another Dtuber is 'better' than you. The community decides... always.

Both of the most popular video streaming services are declining in popularity... so how is Dtube's popularity? We have to remember that it is very new and was only released a few months ago.
We are starting to see signs of a takeover! People are pissed with the current & mainstream video sharing services and want a change.
At the beginning of this article, I stated that Dtube may destroy the porn industry. This is due to the fact that customers will be able to consume porn for free and pay porn suppliers with upvotes, thus giving the Dtubers profits.
The porn producers will not need to pay for advertising to get people to see their stuff becasue, unlike other porn sites, anyone can benefit... not just the site owner.
