Now Playing: Week 52 - My three favorite popular Brazilian songs in 2018
This week, in a mood of nostalgia for the year that has passed, I will share with you my three favourite Brazilian popular songs in 2018. A difficult task, since we have a huge diversity of great musical genres. So I chose a song of the three genres I heard most during the year.
This is a classic! "Cuitelinho" with "Pena Branca e Xavantinho"! Was composed in 1932 by "Bento Costa". The lyrics tell in the manner of the people, a small story that can be interpreted as the missing of a Brazilian soldier who fought in the Paraguayan War, far from his family.
This artist I discovered this year! One of the most gratifying personal discoveries of 2018. "Santana o Cantador" is a composer by a genre called "Forró Pé de Serra". Music to dance with beautiful poems. To flirt ; )
The third, and one of the most representative of my musical taste in this musical genre! "Andança" Composed by "Danilo Caymmi", from the legendary Caymmi family, in partnership with "Edmundo Souto" and "Paulinho Tapajós". Here in "Beth Carvalho" voice!
