Daddy's Little Killer (novel chapt 8)

            Chapter Eight

After the excitement of J.T's arrival, everything settled down to
normal. David and Becky decided to take a road trip to Arizona.
He was loving the fact that he no longer has to worry about the
store. He does call Caleb every now and then. Caleb became a
dad two months ago and David congratulated him.

Marcus opened up his own shop about 2 miles from their home.
His ex-boss sent him a few referrals to help get his business up
and running. A few times, Robert offered to help Marcus at the
shop. He began to like the feel of working on cars, and he told his
family that he wanted to continue that as a career. After dealing
with a few bad law cases, he needed a break from the stress....

Maddie went back to work part time after J.T turned a year old. 5
year old Aiden was starting preschool. He was a very bright and
smart child. Amy took him to and from school for Maddie, so she
could work the morning shift at the restaurant. Kimmie loved to
hang out with Amy. "I wuv gamma spoils me."....

Three years later, David was rushed to the hospital with bad chest
pains. Mom said he had been having them off and on for a few
months, but the doctor could never find what the cause was. Dad
walked the neighborhood daily to keep active, and the two girls
would always join him. He would even walk to the kids' school to
take them home.

The family all went to be with him on his last day. He'd had a bad
heart attack and his heart just couldn't recover from it. Marcus was
heart broken, more so for his mom. She had done so well over the
years, from having lost two children and now she lost her David.

Marcus decided to do a remodel on their home, to add a spare room
for his mom. They didn't like the idea of her living alone in the RV.
Becky agreed that she would rather not live alone.

The kids kept her spirits up a little and gave her enough strength to
hold on. She especially grew a tight bond with J.T...She was a very
quiet child, unlike her brother and older sister. She would sit near
grandma Becky whenever she could, and silently play with her toys.
Even though she was quiet, she loved to show those beautiful hazel
eyes and cute little grin.

Marcus watched the reaction of J.T as she played. Always wondering
what thoughts his baby girl was having. Even when she was a baby,
she was quiet. Those eyes of hers, staring at ours like she was able
to read our thoughts.

He watched as she played with toys that help with motor skills and
cognitive skills. She seemed to find more interests in the ones that
are geared towards 6 years of age and up. He motioned for Maddie
to sit with him, and watch J.T. They stared in awe as she took things
apart and put them back together like it was nothing...

After discussing the events that unfolded, with both sets of parents,
Marcus and Maddie decided to take J.T to a specialist to see how
bright their baby girl was....
